It’s common practice in the industry to standardize on CAT 2 and CAT 4 options for NFPA 70E arc flash protection, using layering for hazard levels in between. But – if you’re like most companies – there may be a gaping hole in your layering strategy, and maybe even in your CAT 2 PPE. In this dynamic discussion with live Q&A, industry experts Scott Margolin and Rich Gojdics call attention to a common gap in NFPA 70E arc flash PPE that creates risk for workers – and the tools available to solve it.
We Covered:
- That CAT 2 is about more than clothing, and what it takes to achieve true protection
- A gap in layering strategies for hazards above CAT 2 – with risk to workers
- How to go beyond clothing to complete the layering equation
- New technologies and strategies to address the gaps
