Tyndale Adds Another Star in the Lone Star State

We’ve done it again! Tyndale’s Houston, Texas distribution center has been recognized as a Top Workplace for the second year in a row by the Houston Chroniclein a listing based entirely on the feedback from our employee “members.”

To compile the list, the Chronicle looked to Energage – an independent third-party organization that studies workplace culture – who conducted a 24-question survey of employees at over 200 local companies. Over 68,000 employees took the survey! The organization then ranked the responses of Tyndale members against those from other employers of similar size in the region.

“Employers have been forced to focus harder than ever to retain and attract talent amid the disruption of the business environment during the COVID pandemic,” said Bob Helbig of Energage in comments published by the Chronicle.

This was echoed by Rob Gavin, Business Editor at the Chronicle. “This year’s Top Workplaces honors companies that have not only navigated these changes, but found ways to become even better places to work. In most cases, the trends that have attracted the most comment — employees seeking more flexibility, more time for family and community, and more ‘life’ in the work-life balance — have long been engrained in cultures of Houston’s Top Workplaces,” Gavin said.

This could not be more true of Tyndale. Our people are one of our core values and the heart of what we do. Central to our mission of providing an enjoyable uniform experience and delivering the clothing that enables workers to return home safely each day is attracting and retaining the top talent that ensures our success.

Learn more about some of the perks that make Tyndale a great place to do meaningful work. Since the start of the pandemic, we are proud of the work our Human Resources team has done to find new and creative ways of keeping members engaged and maintaining camaraderie across our growing team. Most recently, we expanded work from home privileges for applicable job roles, offered on-site chair massages, a summer carnival, family picnics, team sport competitions, a health and wellness fair, a commuter bonus to help offset inflated gas prices, and more.

This award for our Houston location joins Tyndale’s headquarters offices and Pennsylvania distribution center as Top Workplaces – six years and counting – in the Philadelphia area, according to a similar survey conducted by Energage and the Philadelphia Inquirer. We look forward to building on this success in the coming years in both locations.

Thank you for choosing Tyndale – your support not only ensures your workers are protected but also allows us to continue to positively impact the ever-growing, vibrant “family” of people who work with us.
