In the past year alone, Tyndale has made significant contributions to ten organizations that help the less fortunate—charities that are near and dear to our member’s hearts. Check out the recap below of our most recent 2019 initiatives:
In August, Tyndale members volunteered at our local Ronald McDonald Houses. Our Proud to Help Committee organized “guest chef night” where, based on the food contributions from members, Tyndale members could volunteer as guest chefs and craft home-cooked meals over three nights for local families. Read our blog post and visit the Proud to Help page on our website to learn more!
September brought Tyndale members, families, and friends together to participate in the 9/11 Heroes Run/Walk to benefit the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF)—a nationwide organization with headquarters in our Pipersville facility’s backyard. Together, we helped raise nearly $400 in support of the foundation! TMF empowers Veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations to create a nation of purpose-driven individuals and thriving communities built on character.
In October, Tyndale Members participated in the Doylestown ALS Walk/Run which was organized by the Philadelphia Chapter of ALS Association. Tyndale was a corporate sponsor for this event, with Members raising $1,000 and Member participants raising an additional $180 in donations. In Tyndale’s Pennsylvania offices, a fundraising raffle was held with donated items from local businesses, this raised well over $2,000 dollars for ALS research. The raffle combined with the proceeds from the ALS walk generated more than $3,000 in donations! Learn more about the event here!
Tyndale is committed to making a difference in our very own communities, so we spent the last few months of 2019 doing just that! Our Proud to Help Committee chose to support Tabor Home Children’s Services, the multi-service community-based organization, by participating in the Holiday Gift Collection, providing children and families with gifts during the holiday season. Tabor Home Children’s Services is a private, nonprofit child welfare agency serving children, youth, young adults, and families.
Each year, a list is drawn up comprised of causes we’ve supported in the past, along with some new charities suggested by Tyndale Members. One or two Committee members spearhead each initiative, sharing the cause with all Tyndale members, explaining how to help, and organizing and overseeing the activities and/or events. We are looking forward to sharing what Tyndale’s Proud to Help Committee has in store for 2020!
