Members of Tyndale gathered in Doylestown to show our support and thank our local veterans, their families, and first responders at the annual 9/11 Heroes Run/Walk event. The event was in support of the Travis Manion Foundation a nationwide organization with headquarters in our Pipersville headquarters backyard.
Like the Travis Manion Foundation, we enjoy building relationships with our Members and take pride in having an impact on the community. This September our Proud to Help committee here at Tyndale encouraged our employees to participate in the 9/11 Heroes Run/Walk to benefit the Travis Manion Foundation.
The Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) empowers Veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations so as to create a nation of purpose-driven individuals and thriving communities built on character.
Travis Manion was known for his strong leadership qualities, athleticism and academic achievement. On April 29, 2007, 1st Lt. Travis Manion’s fatally wounded by an enemy sniper while aiding and drawing fire away from his wounded teammates.
Travis Manion made the ultimate sacrifice that day. His selfless actions allowed every member of his patrol to survive.
