This past August, Tyndale’s Proud to Help Committee and our Members’ attention was focused on the Philadelphia and Houston Ronald McDonald Houses. The Ronald McDonald House aims to create a community environment of comfort and hope for families with seriously ill children. They offer families comfortable places to sleep, daily home-cooked meals, and activities for parents and siblings while their children receive life-saving medical treatment.
Located in 64 countries and regions around the world, Ronald McDonald Houses have helped thousands of families with sick children find comfort and support when they need it most.
Throughout the month of August, Tyndale Members collected food and monetary donations for both the Philadelphia and Houston Ronald McDonald House locations. Our Proud to Help Committee also organized “guest chef night” where, based on the food contributions from Members, Tyndale members could volunteer as guest chefs and craft home-cooked meals over three nights for local families.
By the end of the month, the contributions made by our Members truly made a difference. The Proud to Help Committee organized three teams of guest chefs over the course of the three nights to provide dinner to over 250 people temporarily living in the Philadelphia and Houston Ronald McDonald Houses. In addition, contributions totaling over $750 was donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
At Tyndale, we believe that being active and reaching out a helping hand in the community is the best way to show our appreciation for the local areas where our Members live and work. We are proud to support different organizations and charities each month to help those who are less fortunate and are truly in need.
